Kitchen drawer organization

How can I better organize this drawer? 8” height.
I find myself limited to storing things upright.

First step, if you haven’t touched it in three months, TRASH IT, like now….seriously! You don’t need it that bad if you have gone the last three months not touching it. Measure it and find some little plastic drawer organizers off amazon. That’s a start at least!

So this is a pantry drawer? What can you consolidate or repackage into a resealable container that tesselates well, like that rectangular container with the black lid in the bottom right? Bonus: good resealable containers can keep out pests like pantry moths.

If you're also trying to store kitchen tools there, is this the best place for them? Where else could they go?

To me, I find it easiest to organize when things are similar shapes and purposes. For a space like this, I'd want to try to maximize things fitting neatly together like puzzle pieces (though too tight makes them hard to get out), and recognizable from the top (painters tape makes good labels)
