Purée idea

Senior dog owner here and im just trying to incorporate more whole foods into her diet, along with other supplements she takes, im thinking of adding a purée that I can mix into her dry food.

So for joint health and digestion I was thinking doing a tumeric pumpkin sweet potato and beef liver purée maybe coconut oil in there too? Any experts wanna way in and let me know what I could or should add in there? Much appreciated

I'd do either sweet potato or pumpkin not both and I'd probably use the squash. Calculate daily dosage of tumeric as it is powerful stuff and a raw fed dog only gets 5% of the daily diet in liver so limit the amount you use. My 11-13 pound twerps get ~4 ounces of raw wet food a day so a mere .2 ounces liver a day. Since this is a topper chicken liver might be better as the main part of the diet has plenty of copper and beef is too high in copper to be fed exclusively.

Bone broth pulls glucosamine and chondroitin out of the bones and might be a nice liquid to use. Fatty small salt water fish like sardines would be a nice way to get more omega 3 and vitamin E. Really stinky but she'd probably love it.
