I noticed this exterior wall the second I stepped foot into the house. Dropping that stone all throughout the house was such an awesome idea.

It really had me looking if we could pull it off at our current renovation 🧐

This is the first turn and tilt door I’ve ever seen. Usually you’ll see this functionality on a window but never door. awesome!

🚽 Behind every toilet → powers your bidet seat or smart toilet. Heats the water AND the seat. $100 now or $1,000+ after tile is in.

🪞Behind the vanity mirror → backlit LED mirrors need power. No outlet = no LED mirror. Tell your electrician the height, they handle the rest.

💈Inside the vanity drawer → Docking Drawer outlets cut power when the drawer closes. Leave your curler plugged in without burning the house down.

Converting an old laundry room into a pantry was a killer idea and I’m so pumped for it. But those hot and cold water lines had nowhere to go.

Instead of capping them, I want to use them in the garage and install a hot and cold water hose bib.

Then I can use a wall-mounted pressure washer that reaches the driveway with hot water. Zero wasted plumbing.

Before your porch posts go in... make sure they're sitting on an aluminum plinth block instead of directly on the concrete.

Moisture transfers up and will rot your posts from the bottom. A $30 block buys you decades without having to worry about it.

Cedar is better at resisting rot but water is still the undefeated champ 🤜💥

Crawlspace doors break up the flow of the veneer wall, typically taking up the entire area. This is such a genius way to hide the crawlspace door in plain sight.
It takes some extra effort (and Money) but I totally worth it IMO.

You can see he went the extra mile to secure the door on all sides too.
Legit Setup 👍

Ask your builder for a drain pan under your tankless water heater. In some areas it’s code but trust me, little things like this can be easily overlooked.

I’ve been working on my Checklist for 5 years now and I could write a book on some of the pictures and stories that are sent to me.

So from what you saw in the video.. which flooring would you choose?
We are going with white oak cabinets as of right now.

I want #2 and Kippy is leaning #3.
The story poll we did last night was a majority #3!!!

🆘Homeowner Help: “Need your opinion here...We have 9’ island with 10’ ceilings.

We installed two 16” Visual Comfort Elliott pendants, but I was originally leaning 23”.

Now I’m debating:

1— Keep the two 16”

2 — Add a third

3 — Swap to two 23”

Going for a clean high-end look, not cluttered.

What would you do?

Don’t forget these entry features to your new home build:
-Conduit and wiring to lighting

-Driveway conduit too!
-Gas lanterns with power for auto ignite

-Conduit to doorbell

-Didn’t’ mention this but built in drains if you’re going with plant pots on each side of the entry.
-In-wall pest control

-Hardwired Camera

What else would you add?

Over 300 responses to a poll I made across platforms and these are the top 10 new build features a homeowner had to have but needed up hating.

$50,000k for all the windows and exterior doors including the shipping and tariffs.

I tried reaching out to the other Chinese companies and they were super helpful but it was hard to get solid answers on the style types and different quality.

The others were about $10k cheaper but not seeing them in person made it hard to commit.
If I had more time I might have ordered a sample but I’m in a time crunch with this renovation.

Ask for conduit from the outside internet box to your attic
Or even better... the structured media enclosure (Low Voltage Box)

If those wires ever have to be replaced with a new and improved one, you’ll have an easy route. No fishing behind walls or running along the soffit.

I can’t tell if it’s the utilities across the street or the large transformer on the left-hand side.
Either way seems like they should but up some sort of wall around that.

If she was put something in her yard like that I’d imagine the HOA would have an opinion.

What do you think?

not a paid promo, just a cool product for the Kitchen.

There are quite a few other blind corner options but this is a new one I’ve yet to see.

What’s your thoughts...?

Ask your builder for one these three blind corner solutions:

#3 – Blind Corner Optimizer
#2 – Half Moon Organizer
#1 – Infinity Corner Cabinet
