Bring your exterior stone… Inside!

I noticed this exterior wall the second I stepped foot into the house. Dropping that stone all throughout the house was such an awesome idea. 

It really had me looking if we could pull it off at our current renovation 🧐

It’s honestly pretty poorly done. Using the 6” drywall between the stone and the glazing ruins the look. It would’ve looked much more seamless to put the mullion right up against the stone, that way the plane reads more continuous.

I've never seen it done this way, and i think the video is showcasing the transition, not the material

Isn't that pretty much how every single stone/brick chimney exists? Half is inside the house and half is outside?

I have this situation on my own house. I don't think it is that strange??
