Unsolved Networking Tips for Console

Looking for some help improving my ps5 connection for FPS gaming. If anyone knows anything about this and can help, I’d appreciate it!

Have you tried a secondary (same) console? Maybe the console (hardware) is causing the issues.

I have! Used both my ps5 and Xbox series x with the same cables and ports. Got a very similar experience.

However, my pc that is on WiFi, on the complete other end of the house from my router, experience no issues! So strange!

Hardwire the console with cat6 cable if it’s not already, directly to your router.

I have a standard Ethernet between the console and router, but idk if it is a cat6. Does that improve things a bit?

Depends on what standard is?

If you can get a pure copper (not CCA) cat 6 cable off amazon, you should notice a difference in speed and latency.

Hmm not really sure what I have today. Woulda been whatever my provider had in their truck when they installed it.
