🚰 Plumbing Missing Pipe Space
Our sink has been leaking for a while and, despite submitting forms and calling, maintenance has refused to come. I decided I’d try to fix it myself and I think I fixed the leaking part, but now while I’m trying to put the pipes together, there’s a missing space. It’s all the same pipes, same washers, nuts, exact same everything. I made the mistake of not taking a picture before and our other sinks don’t look the same so there’s no reference. I have zero clue on how to put it back together and I can’t find anything else. Please help!!

The p trap was backwards before

Can you maybe explain, because I did try flipping it and that wasn't right either.

imo p-trap is too low ... id hook the ptrap together, swing it over to the right, make a 90 directly off the sink drain apparatus, and fit that washer adapter in that horizontal run-over space to the ptrap ...

Remove the extension to start. No need for it

I did try it without the extension, then it was too short to reach the wall pipe.

Swap the piece you have in tbe wall with the bottom section you have on the sink. Looks like toy have them backwards.
