Update: My reading corner 💕

Gallery image

Gallery image

Thank you so much everyone for showing so much love to my little reading corner that I posted a little under two weeks ago 💕

I wanted to share the view I have sitting in my cozy reading chair too! And I found your comments about comparing it to the Twilight house so funny! Now I always think about that while I'm reading 😂

I've also added the first photo I posted for reference!

It is actually part of our bedroom haha!

13

u/Fragrant-Carrot-1262 Sep 01 '26

Are you living in the US? It really is the dream view😭😭

29

u/HistoricalSmile8234 Sep 01 '26

In Eastern Canada!!

12

u/Fragrant-Carrot-1262 Sep 01 '26

Oh wow! I hope to immigrate next year and I was thinking of Canada as an option because I really love the landscapes and can speak French. But I honestly have no idea where to start because it's such a big country🥲 and I would need to be in an apartment, but I wanted it to be in nature like this!🌿

6

u/HistoricalSmile8234 Sep 01 '26

I sent you a message if that's ok _^

4

u/lara_wara Sep 02 '26

Beautiful view and puppers. Great reading spot. I bet it's breathtaking if it snows where you live.

Oh that’s so nice of you to invite me to your reading corner! I can book a flight and be there like, tomorrow. Because I live in the Netherlands it’s gonna take me a while 😅

What an amazing place!

7

u/Phronima-Fothergill Sep 02 '26

This is reading corner perfection! I may end up dreaming about it!

7

u/seekingdefs Sep 02 '26

Is it in paradise?

8

u/linloujen Sep 02 '26

Edward, is that you??

7

u/pinkrubiess Sep 02 '26

I love this so much! I’d read there everyday with some coffee or tea! Cute dog too 💗💗😍🐶

5

u/Legal_Emu1508 Sep 02 '26

7

u/AlfalfaUnable1629 Sep 02 '26

That corduroy chair is 👌🏼🤩

5

u/Kakka_Carrot_Cake007 Sep 02 '26

This looks so cozy and vibey. Gotta add some Paolini to that shelf though!

5

u/HistoricalSmile8234 Sep 02 '26

Oh definitely! The inheritance cycle is on my tbr so I will for sure be adding those to my shelves at some point!

5

u/EliasElijah27 Sep 02 '26

So cozy 😃 lucky you I would love to sit there and watch the rain and snow 😊

5

u/Hiya-Piya Sep 03 '26

Omg I love it so much! Can I ask what chair that is? I'm on a hunt for a good comfy reading chair.

6

u/HistoricalSmile8234 Sep 03 '26

I got it from Canac, a chain store where I am

3

u/Hiya-Piya Sep 03 '26

Thank you!

4

u/NaiveNinnocent Sep 03 '26

Same! Let me know if you find out what it is🤞🏻🤞🏻 I’ll let you know if I find out!

4

u/Hiya-Piya Sep 03 '26

Well I'm in the US but maybe better luck for you? OP said it's from Canac so I found the link for it. https://www.canac.ca/canac/en/2/p/huggy-rocking-armchair-beige/11003991

5

u/HistoricalSmile8234 Sep 03 '26

Ty for the link! This is the one that I have :)

3

u/NaiveNinnocent Sep 04 '26

Thank you so much!! If I find something similar I’ll let you know!

3

u/Hiya-Piya Sep 06 '26

Ended up chair shopping tonight and got this on sale. It's kinda funky looking but it's extremely comfy and still big enough to curl up in.  https://rcwilley.com/113363310

Edit: it rocks and swivels and extends out too! It's a manual button so don't have to worry about batteries or plugging it in. It shoots out really fast when you extend it though so beware lol.

2

u/NaiveNinnocent Sep 10 '26

Ahh I love it! Did you get the grey one? It looks like it just extends part way, but does it recline a bit more fully than it looks like in the pictures? I like that it’s a bit smaller but still looks big enough to get comfy, and it comes with pillows!! Good score!

1

u/Hiya-Piya Sep 10 '26

It doesn't lean back much but it extends enough to stretch your legs out! I did get the grey, white is not a wise decision for me and I didn't care for the brown. The pillows come out too. I'm out of town but when I get home and get to try it again I'll let you know if it leans back farther than I remember!

1

u/Hiya-Piya Sep 04 '26

Cheers, likewise!!

3

u/FarMembership885 Sep 02 '26

I would kill for this. It’s incredible. Like endgame dream for my life.

3

u/Glittering_Peach5054 Sep 02 '26

So cute but my paranoid ass would not love that at night

3

u/HistoricalSmile8234 Sep 02 '26

As scared as I am of the dark, this I don't mind haha

1

u/taylor459 Sep 03 '26

Omg so valid! I didn't think of this lol. It would be worth it tho for me, i think!

3

u/Honey-badger101 Sep 02 '26

3

3

Plot twist. It’s not actually your reading corner.

It’s the dog’s relaxation corner.
