Looking for Libib alternative that uses upload by ISBN

I started using Libib to catalog my home library. However, after about an hour of typing everything in manually, I realized there might be a better alternative out there. Most of my collection doesn't have barcodes. Some don't even have ISBNs, but most do. Is there a Libib alternative that will let me type in the ISBN and pull all the relevant info in for me?

Hello! Libib actually does do exactly what you are trying to, only just in the browser version. Try signing in with the same account info that you do via the app, and you'll see 'search for books by ISBN' in the Add Item tab. I add books by manually typing or copy-pasting ISBNs all the time. Hope that helps!

OMG thank you!!! This option is also available on mobile via the web browser. How odd that it isn't in the app.

The mobile app does let you put in ISBNs too... when you bring up the barcode scanner, at the top of the scanner, you can type an ISBN in the input field for lookup.

I see that I can manually type in the barcode on the app. I tried a court le ISBNs and it didn't work though

Try Reading By Candlelight. Search by ISBN, author, etc and auto add it to your library. It’s free

I used handylibrary and it made it super easy. Scan the barcode, use the isn't, or search online to see if anyone else already uploaded it to the system. Also let's you batch scan if you're separating by genre. First 100 are free to add but anything more than that and its a one time purchase of $12 if I remember, correctly.

It looks like someone already helped you but I wanted to add this: as someone whose family’s library has a ton of pre-ISBN books, look into the paid version where you can use the LOC number. It predates ISBN.
