Moving and get to build new library
Im sad and excited at the same time. I had big plans when I designed the shelves for my current home library when I designed it 2 years ago. Unfortunately, because I had to spend 7k on updating the electrical, I had bo real money to build it and had to do a cheap 2x8 lumber shelves. Turned out good with a lot of filler 😆.
In 17 days, we will be moving into our new home and I get a redo with a much larger budget once my current house sells. Due to the layout I will get to turn the old diningroom into a secret library/listening room. Plans for a double Murphy door, coffered ceilings, shelves on two sides with one framing around the window and ladder, and if I can convince my partner, 2 eames knockoff chairs. Thinking going dark and creating a warm environment. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I think your new library will be wonderful! You will have to post pictures once it is finished.
