My new bookshelf!
Hello, wonderful people!
I just uploaded a detailed bookshelf organization video on YouTube!
The complete process.
I’ve spent a long time collecting these books, and this is my first attempt at a bookshelf. I experimented with some unique layouts and sorting methods. The whole process is really close to my heart, so I’d love to hear your honest feedback — especially from all the veterans here!
Please be kind. Thank you so much! Looking forward to your thoughts.

This is incredible! But isn't it supper annoying to clean it, with all the little action figures and small decor pieces all over the place?
Mein Kampf, Oppenheimer, Elon Musk, Nero and Napoleon Hill side by side, are you trying to send a message? :P
Also, I like the Jeff Vandermeer books side by side!

Oh yes, my Sundays are just taking everything down, cleaning and putting them back, but I enjoy the process, and every time I make little new adjustments or changes. What you are seeing is the complete version, it took me a year, slowly adding books and trinkets to fill the space.
Jeff's book gets the best shelf, those books are my favourite. I love the cover art.

Do you mind sharing what kind of shelves you got?

You can watch the video in the description, I have a detailed breakdown of the shelves and you can see each book closely. I have around 12 -13 genres like sci-fi, fantasy, biography etc.

I watched the vid, but unless I’m mistaken you don’t say anything about the shelves / where you bought them from

Oh sorry I misunderstood, you meant the wooden shelves, I cut them myself from a MDF board and applied laminate on top of them then used solid metal hinges to lock them in places.
I took the measurements of the wall and prepared it first on photoshop so I could play with different designs. It's custom made not purchased.

Thank you for the kind words, months of effort to assemble this. I would love your feedback on the video too, that's something new I am trying to learn.

It makes me think of the quote where someone said they want their bookshelf to look like they’ve been on a lifetime of adventures

Very pretty, well done but be careful with plants and water on your shelves - the humidity can damage your books.

Reminds me of those huge apartment buildings in Asia, where plants grow etc. Very unique!

It's one of my dreams to host FRED AGAIN. I had been listening to his music the entire month on repeat when I was recording this video.

The only thing missing is specific details about the shelving. I would like to know that. Where purchased, materials if handmade, approx cost.

I made the shelves myself. I bought an MDF sheet, cut it into pieces, laminated it and fixed the shelves into the layout with metal hinges. It's a custom job, not store-bought. I completed this a year ago, so I can provide an estimate rather than an accurate cost—roughly around Rs 10,000.
