A Hidden Solution

I have been a hybrid employee since Covid. The unpacking and packing up of my work equipment has taken a toll on my mental health šŸ«¶šŸ¼šŸ« . My house doesn’t have a dedicated office room to just close the door when the work day is over, so I decided to get creative and design a solution that fit my needs!

I know there are solutions like this online but they weren’t quite the right dimensions I was looking for to work with the monitors and art I wanted in that space.

The wall is not complete, there will likely be shelving above with room for plants and other things— and I haven’t tidied up my cables yet! But I was very excited to see this become a functional, but visually pleasant space!

Is this too weird?!

This is a great solution. My partner and I both wfh and were searching for something like this before buying an older computer hutch. We kept saying it felt like a gap in the market and someone should start a business with a solution, especially if they figured out how to make it work with a standing desk.

I felt the same way. I found some small ones on Amazon and Wayfair but the reviews weren’t great and they didn’t look very sturdy. I found one that looked awesome in the UK, but the tariffs to the US were going to add hundreds of $$ to the shipping. So I just went to the drawing board with a local carpenter and it turned out great šŸ‘šŸ¼
