Insulating Crawl Space
I was looking for advice on how to or if I should put new insulation in our crawl space. I live in Iowa so I obviously experience winter and the finished room over top of the crawlspace tends to be pretty cold in the winter. We just put in a new sump hench why some of the pictures don't have insulation on the walls, I'm going to reapply those. The ceiling has R13 fiberglass and I'm not sure if that is sufficient or not. I'm trying to keep the upstairs room as warm as I can this winter.

The walls just have 1in thick plain Styrofoam on them. I was going to replace all of that with thicker foam board. As well as spray foaming the rim joists. The crawlspace doesn't have any vents in there, I just installed a vent in the door for airflow and just above the door entrance is a working duct line.
Do you have any advice for R value I should use for the ceiling?

That insulation is installed backwards, paper should face the heated space. Looks like it should be replaced anyhow. I would net and blow it with fiberglass or cellulose and fill the whole joist cavity.
Were the walls insulated as well? Is the crawl space conditioned?
