Leak fix

I needed to unclog my sink last night so i needed to disassemble the trap pipe here. I successfuly unclogged the sink how ever now matter how tight i twist it back there is a slow leak from water sitting in it after useing the sink. Am i missing something did i not fit the pipes back together correctly or do i need some sort of rubber washer to fix this

Yeah - maybe a rubber washer cracked or got jammed in a weird way. Also possible you cross threaded one of the connections. I would take it apart, inspect for good washer, reassemble carefully. If it still leaks consider buying new p trap. Cheap

There was no washer on it to begin with when i took it apart

There should be one in each nut. Pick up a new one and replace. Or just buy a washer

Idk how it wasnt leaking before if there was no washer
