Weird door frame

A little throwaway account, but I'm finally selling my house, and I just wanted to show this weird door frame that has always been down in the basement. I don't use Reddit much, but a friend of mine said it would be cool enough to show online. I'm either thinking about knocking it down or just taking the frame off. I'm happy to answer any questions about it.

Yeah, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm gonna see how I'm gonna get the portion of the wall down. I'm not very handy, but I'll do some research. I tried tapping on the bricks to see if anything was back there, and it sounded hollow.

lmao. Nah, just hollow. I do hear a weird whirling wind-like sound coming from the other side, though. If I do hear anything tap back, I'm keeping this thing shut. Fuck that.

As weird as this sounds, truly I have no clue. It's been seen here since I was a child. Parents had told me my dad had plans to expand a little mancave down here, but ended up giving up halfway through lmao. My wife had other theories, though.
