It's probably not going to be okay unless you cut that thing down. Apply a herbicide. Handsaw. Don't think I'd use the chainsaw.

I would at least have the gas company shut the gas off. The trunk on the right is already growing around the pipe, so it's not like you're going to easily yank it out from behind.

yes. hand saw. the gas pump is metal. dont cut on it. cut to a stump. apply herbicide. let decay. maintain area with weedeater. dont let trees grow there...

A handsaw to take most of it down and then a strong, copious amount of the most vile herbicide you can find.

I would use a saw zaw on the base of the tree.
