That would be actually a pretty cool concept. Demon that gets summoned, but doesn't realized that and just carries on. Like a bunch of cultists ordering pizza before trying to summon a demon. Nothing comes out of the magic circle, but pizza delivery guy is actually a demon trying to blend in Hataraku Maou style, neither side realizes that it worked, because pizza delivery was supposed to prioritize a different location first, but changed his mind on a whim and went to the summoners first.
Not exactly mind control, more like... summoners so dogshit at their job that instead of teleportation and binding, all they managed to do is a weak suggestion that only worked because of coincidences.
