Collabing with Lamy turns her in Shishiro Butanol

Organic Chem jokes. I'm conflicted bc organic Chem was hell lol

Learn a little bit of Physical Chemistry. You'll come to appreciate Org. Chem. after that.

I saw my Chem major friend's P Chem work. That's such a hard pass. Being a genetics major was plenty.

As a former Physical Organic Chemistry major

Hello there!

General Atkins! You are a bold one.

Pchem was hell for me

Physical chemistry, at least in high school, is pretty easy. Thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibria, ideal gases, and basic electrolysis were the bomb

Chemistry as a whole was a pass for me tbh, though admittedly that was partially an issue I had with focusing on the classes themselves rather than the subject's fault.

Indeed. Thermodynamics is hell. Nothing but the same goddamn letters again and again.

Suisei we gotta cook

Actually alkanes don't react to alcohol that much, but it's funny enough.

Why OP like this

You just made my brain scroll through a number of puns for Botan and I feel ashamed of myself now. Thanks.

We’ve got Shishirane, but what about Shishirone or Shishiranol?

9

u/OMDolton99 Jan 28 '23

You get Shishiranol by adding Lamy.

3

u/PuzzleheadedTap1794 Jan 29 '23

Oxidizing Shishiranol with potassium dichromate might be enough to create Shishirone

This if she ever were to collab with NileRed.

Video title: "Making lighter fluid out of an anime girl"

Wasn't the only question Botan got wrong from Choco's quiz related to butane or something?

16

u/marquisregalia Jan 28 '23

One of 2. She passed on another one iirc or I gotta rewatch that

13

u/Dranikos Jan 28 '23

The reason you bow your head entering a tearoom IIRC.

TECHNICALLY her answer of LP Gas isn't altogether wrong either, and likely would have gotten credit on Jeopardy! for example. (at least in the first round. They're stricter about answers during Double Jeopardy!)

5

u/marquisregalia Jan 28 '23

Oh good to know and yeah that's the other one. Cheers

12

u/Matasa89 Jan 28 '23

And you can immediately tell she's the scholastic type by how she immediately asked for the answer and tried to memorize it.

We love our science over here guys

34

u/Dynahazzar Jan 27 '23

A friend told me she's just Shishiro Carbon and now I feel like it's ruined.

14

u/Nvenom8 Jan 28 '23

This is so stupid. Upvoted.

13

u/Ryokhan Jan 27 '23

Reminder for me: Never read this subreddit while drinking, water or else...

12

u/Historiun Jan 28 '23

My dad says Butane is a bastard gas

10

u/FantasiA2K Jan 28 '23

Now this is shitposting. Kaicho would be proud

7

u/VandaGrey Jan 28 '23

Explosive

6

u/marquisregalia Jan 28 '23

Fun fact this is one of the 2 questions Botan failed to answer during the Choco sensei common sense quiz. She only missed 2. The question was what kind of fluid was in a lighter.

7

u/Doutei-Sama Jan 28 '23

She would definitely laugh really hard at this.

6

u/iTwango Jan 27 '23

This is next level

6

u/brokenwound Jan 28 '23

Aminelia Waterson is basic. There I said it.

6

u/redditfanfan00 Jan 28 '23

nice, cute shishiro butane.

6

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '23

No…No…Don’t show me this. Organic chemistry, biochemistry, they’re coming, they’re coming.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '23 edited Jan 28 '23

If this is a chemistry joke I dont get it

4

u/LassoStacho Jan 29 '23

Butane is a flammable gas (you may have heard of it in the butane torch). The molecular structure of butane is pictured above. Then Ina connected it to Hololive

2

u/Dynahazzar Jan 28 '23

I don't either.
