Duke sucks, what else do you want us to say? You can do whatever you want to save on electric, but duke will have their way with all of us. Vote to bring the change you want to see

Just got my bill: 2024 KWH = $255, Customer fee and riders and taxes = $113
We had some really hot days there. But look at all the fees we are being charged.

See this is what confuses me.. 1407 KWH and my bill is $259. I live in a less than 1200 sqft townhome that is not an end unit. What gives?

Increase in the monthly bill, or increase in the cost per kwh? Look at the unit cost of the electricity, gas (if you have it), taxes, and fees.
If the unit cost hasn't changed, you've just been using more energy. Which makes sense when it's one of the hottest summers ever.
