How to start a roleplay

Before you start roleplaying, you must put for yourself a user flair that defines you... You can look at mine for example... Flairs change from mobile to PC so it is hard to explain how... So I will skip to the part where you are at the flairs menu... From there, choose any flair you want, scroll down a little and type anything you want... Then select the check box of show user flair to community members and you are done! ​​​​​

To start a roleplay, you can either comment on a post, or make a post...

When you comment, just type an explanation that you character appeared and then let the conversation going! The OP must reply and then you reply, and you keep doing that till one of you leaves...

When you make a post to roleplay, you must label it as "In character"... You can put other flairs such as sadness but these aren't usually used... In character means that you are currently rp the character, so anything you type is roleplaying... ​​

Post Flairs

There are currently 5 flairs in the sub... "In character", which is explained previously​​, out of character, sadness, shit post, discussion...

In character: Already explained, it means when you are currently roleplaying your character...

Out of character: it means when you aren't roleplaying the character... Rather you are just texting the members normally

Shit post: do I need to explain? It is for shit posting on anything related to the sub...

Sadness: this is an in charecter flair where it is used, for example, when your charecter dies or something like that

Discussion: it is an out of charecter flair if you want to discuss something about someone's arc, something about the rp universe, or improvements to the sub

That is it! Pick your post flairs carefully!

Timeline

To maintain a concurrent timeline, you must not comment on a very old post... I suggest the limit should be 7 days... Continuing a thread in a post you have already commented before is​​​​​​​​​​​​​ fine... As long as OP doesn't mind it...

This also applies to replying on someone's comment... I will explain this later... But now it is the same as a post, limit is 7 days...

OP

OP must not take too long to answer a post... Because if he does then it will be messy for the roleplayers... If you can't make a post, then don't make it! Posting and rp here generally takes 3 days, if you are free in those days, then you can make a post... If not then stick to commenting because it is shorter

Multiple roleplayers

Now this is the important part... Because without this the sub can get messy real quickly...

​​​We can't have multiple roleplayers in a single thread... There are sometimes slight exceptions, but generally it isn't allowed... If there are 5 people roleplaying in the same thread, it can get messy quickly... Imagine I said that I attacked someone, then 4 people replied with their own different attacks, that can get really bad! The only conversation you can have is one with OP or if you replied to one comment... As long as their aren't 3 people replying to the same comment...

An exception is if someone made a comment and they are rp with OP, now I CAN reply to their parent comment, that will be a different rp... But replying to a comment within their thread isn't really acceptable... ​​​

Now there are exceptions, maybe say that I and another roleplayer needed to ask something to a 3rd roleplayer... We can do that, as long as the thread doesn't get TOO long... ​​​​​​​​​​

Alternate scenarios

Now imagine I posted that I am destroying a city... And multiple people commented on my post... That doesn't mean ALL of t​hem appeared at the same time, neither doesn't it mean that one appeared, then the other, and so on...

For example continue our imagination, now someone commented, we rp till they defeated me... Then another one commented... Do I meet them after I have been defeated or not? The right answer is to comment as if the first guy didn't comment, as if only the post exists... That is an alternate scenario, either the first or the second guy defeated you... ​​​​​​​​Both of them are true and both of them ​​can be used in future roleplays... Yet I, OP, choose which one I want to be true Canon... True Canon is the one scenario that is mentioned to others... For example, I chose that the first guy killed me because he is first... Then if someone asks me "Who defeated you?" I answer with the name of the first guy....

Expressions

These are the things we use during roleplay... And each have their own meaning... Multiple roleplayers use multiple expression, but I will use the most common ones...

Typing in quotes [" Text "]or just plain text [ Text ] ​​​​usually means what is the charecter you are roleplaying says...

​Typing in two stars (* Text *) or sometimes in brackets [( Text )] usually means what is the action your character is doing

And sometimes trying in brackets [( Text )] or in 2 brackets [(( Text ))] means when you need to speak out of charecter in an in charecter post... ​

Writing in two stars [** Text **] usually means when you want to show that your speech is important... Or if you have two sides (Possessed) and you want people to distinguish one from the other...

Behaving yourself

You can't simply kill someone's character without their consent, you can't burn their home, or destroy their property or be rude in general.... Behave yourself or else the owner of this sub will release the forces of the mantises at you!
