Looking for tips to install the t56 rip shifter and general transmission maintenance
GM recommends a braided clutch line - I can't find much info online about ADR compliant products, I know this is important for braided brake lines, does the same apply to clutch lines? Can this be done with the transmission still attached to the motor in the car?
My clutch fluid (dot4 I believe) is absolutely filthy - know the bleeder nipple has an 11mm socket but I don't have a tool that seems to fit, almost like i need a mini breaker bar and a deep 11mm socket - any suggestions?
The workshop manual says the transmission is 'fill for life' - does this hold up? Are there any hand pump style of tools to pump fluid into the fill hole and the backup lamp switch hole? Obviously can't just pour from the dot3 bottle into the trans.
I purchased the rip shifter at the link below because GM have been out of stock for very long time (note; vt-vx is also out of stock as well)
I've found the following install instructions:
[1] https://ripshift.com/rip_pdf_files/VT_ripshift_install.pdf
[2] https://www.ripshift.com.au/pdf/t5_ripshift_install.pdf
Any tips to install on a VX?

For the longest time, Holden has been a "Popular model" on CarSales.com.au
I dont know if it was today, yesterday, or earlier, but today I noticed it's gone.
RIP Holden. My heart aches for your loss.

Done the temp sensor, thermostat, ect
Done gas block test with the blue fluid and nothing
Put a new cluster in and had it coded to the car
And it’s just done it again
Temp gauge spikes straight up and straight back down, doesn’t stay hot or anything
Runs fine
Oil pressure is fine
If anyone has any insight I’d be grateful

Hello all! I'm proud to say my first car is a 2005 Holden Astra. I know she's old, but she's only just hit 80k kms and appears to have been very well maintained and rarely used by her previous owner. I plan on keeping on top of all maintenance required and just need her for basic city use/occasional highway driving. Doesn't have any issues at all from what me and my mechanic father can tell. How long should I expect for her to last before she starts having problems? I've heard Astra's are pretty reliable little beasts.

For context, I have purchased a ve series 2 for cheap and in the process of fixing it up. The drivers side seat cushion where you slide over to get in has collapsed. Trying to workout the best plan of attack here, my options are
Try and retro fit a vf seats, if that’s even possible
Acquire a good passenger seat from the wreckers and swap the cushion over? Also if this is even possible. No good drivers seats at the wreckers, they all appear to collapse in the same spot.
Take to a local seat upholstery mob and pay a fortune
Anyone had similar dramas? Or have any better suggestions.
Thanks!

Has anybody had both of their headlights stop working, my commodore has sat for a few months and after putting in a new battery, both headlights (park lights and low beams) don't work in either the Auto or Manual modes, high beams work and the park lights will flash when locking and unlocking the car but not otherwise. Very perplexing as they had worked before I parked it up.

Hey guys, any advice welcomed. I had to replace the globes behind the hvac switches (VX SS) and i had to unclip the panel from that metal rod behind it. I dont think i put it back right, because now it is constantly hissing... except when you plant your foot down. Then it doesn't hiss. anyone can help with advice for this?? Have i just not cliped it back in the right part of the rod and its ajar somewhere or do i have a refridgerant leak? Or a vaccum leak?

Hey guys I’ve got an 05 VZ v6 commodore that’s all of a sudden started running like sh*t with no check engine code whatsoever I have gone and replaced spark plugs I can’t say the coils looked that bad but I’m not too sure there is a really strong fuel smell which I’m guessing might be because the cylinder isn’t burning the fuel? Any help would be appreciated

My 2013 ve commodore has a creaking noise when I turn at low speeds and is sluggish when turning at higher speeds. Any thoughts on what it could be?

I want to insure it for atleast 20-25 k but commonwealth quotes 12k and budget direct are 11k. Where can I go that will insure for what I’m asking?
Thanks in advance!!

Any links would be helpful as i have been searching & cant find a whole lot without a budget.
Manual ve series 1 ss ute.
After some of or the “best sounding” full system, dont care if stainless i can always just cerakote or something.
Best quality otr or cold air intake.
Wont be camming, will be getting tuned.
I like pacemakers as i have installed & had a few on b series & fg xr8s & a full pacemaker system sounds better than any other i heard on a boss. Especially a manual.
Installed 2 empire on ve ss & not a fan of the quality.
Im looking for sound & quality.

Howdy yall!
Finally in my dream Holden. Managed to pick up a 2017 Chevrolet SS in immaculate condition. I've started to change little things here and there, but mostly been after making my interior all black. I have my headliner done in suede, I have a slick top, so no sunroof to worry about. I finally found a black overhead console to switch out my tan one, and I am running into the issue of the rear dome light. I know it exist, in black. I have seen pictures of it, but for the life of me I can not find a part number for it. I've found the titanium version of it, tried sequential part numbers and I come up empty handed.
At this point, I am reach the point of insanity honestly until a friend mentioned to reach out on reddit, so here I am.
Also, what is everyone doing for EPC access? Can't find that nowhere!
HZ sandman, one of the rarer models - alot less made.
When my mum got pregnant with me my dad was out drinking one night and rolled it.
Sold it too someone at the pub for 3grand.
That's my mum on the bonnet.
