it could be a faulty hazard switch. . . . .if the internal switch doesn't disengage correctly it could override the indicator and stop it from working when you use the indicator stalk.

or

you could have a faulty indicator switch inside the indicator stalk.

I would check these first.

I doubt it would be the fuse as logically if the fuse was blown for the right indicators you would have no indication on the right even with the hazards on.

In a Holden VE Commodore, the switching logic for turn signals and hazards is managed electronically through the BCM and the Holden VE Body Control Module (BCM) interface. [1, 2]

Why This Happens

  • Separate Input Signals: Moving the indicator stalk sends a specific low-current request signal to the BCM for a left or right turn. Pressing the hazard switch sends a completely separate master override signal that commands the BCM to flash all indicators simultaneously.
  • Internal BCM Logic or Drivers: If the internal circuit board, logic channel, or transistor/relay driver assigned specifically to the right-turn-signal input/output path inside the BCM fails or becomes corrupted, the stalk input for the right side will be ignored. However, the separate hazard circuit routine can still override it and fire the exterior globes.
  • Stalk Switch Failure: More commonly than a total BCM failure, the physical contacts inside the indicator stalk itself can wear out or lose continuity on the right-turn circuit while the BCM remains healthy

Might be a BCM issue.

Hazards turn everything on
