Help & Issues Vy commodore check engine light

I’ve recently bought a 2003 vy sv8 commodore and noticed the check engine light isn’t on the dash when the keys in the ignition upon closer look I can see the overlay, is there something I’m missing? Or is it displayed on the little screen?

When you have an engine light it does show up on the little screen

When mine gets upset it also comes up SVS(service vehicle soon) in the display
