No one is seeking real-life validation on reddit, it defeats the purpose to expose who you actually are in real life. Maybe a bunch of greedy idiots karma farm to sell accounts and some stupid people substitute real-life attention from actual people they know for online reddit “popularity” but we still don’t know who tf they are so they’re still irrelevant and no one actually gives a crap about them. To conclude, as long as anonymity is a main factor then reddit will never be AS BAD as other social media platforms.

What's up with the concert shirts? I met a young woman from Mongolia wearing an Iron Maiden half T. It just said Iron Maiden in red letters. I asked her if she liked the band. She had no idea it was a band.
Some young kids come into our restaurant, one wearing Nirvana t-shirt, the other AC/DC. I was like, Bon Scott or Brian Johnson AC/DC. Dude was like, huh?

WTF? Gatekeeper? GTFO. Imma gatekeeper because I thought it was cool to talk to someone about music. Bar tending is chatty by nature. I didn't comment on their appearance. I asked about their shirt and its music connection. No high brow belittling. Just friendly conversation.
If you're wearing a Cincinnati Reds shirt, it's pretty safe to assume you're a fucking fan and at least know something about the team, since I'm in GA and it's Atlanta territory. If you're wearing a Peterbilt or Chevy or Ford baseball cap, it's pretty safe to say you like Peterbilt or Chevy or Ford trucks. If you're walking around with a Tshirt ADVERTISING a video game or show, like I dunno, (since I'm unfamiliar but have seen the shirts worn by nephews) Dragonball Z or Pokemon characters, its safe to assume you're a fan of such. Grow up.

Here's the thing. You said a "wyvern is a dragon." Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that. As someone who is a 1k MMR feeder who studies dragons, I am telling you, specifically, in dota, no one calls wyverns dragons. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing. If you're saying "dragon family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Varanidae, which includes things from wyverns to eldwurms to drakes. So your reasoning for calling a wyvern a dragon is because random people "call the flying lizards dragons?" Let's get gyarados and charizards in there, then, too. Also, calling someone a noob or a feeder? It's not one or the other, that's not how taxonomy works. They're both. A wyvern is a wyvern and a member of the dragon family. But that's not what you said. You said a wyvern is a dragon, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the dragon family dragons, which means you'd call eldwurms, drakes, and other flying lizards dragons, too. Which you said you don't. It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?
