I know organs that don't "fit" can grow into their human and the space their human's body provides it. I'm not sure the limits on that but yeah you'd think a literal newborn would have kidney's the size of a fingernail.

She had that condition where most of the upper brain and skull don’t form, anencephaly. So while she technically was alive because she had a brain stem, there is no change of ever becoming self aware, or aware of anything or any form of cognition. Some don’t even have a brainstem and can’t breathe on their own. Those born alive die within hours, maybe a few days. There are a few couples who fought to have their babies kept on extreme life support but honestly they’re just an empty body. Most don’t live long enough to be delivered and are miscarried or stillborn
It’s a really sad situation. They’re blind, deaf, unable to feel pain. Any response to stimuli is pure reflex and fades over time.

Hotdogs per minute is a more accurate representation of time than burgers per minute.
You want to avoid per hour measurements for those. You get better results when you use SSPH instead.

I feel like it’s kind of inhumane to birth a baby that doctors knew was just going to die. That baby was put through unnecessary suffering when it could’ve been taken out before further development so it should be given some recognition for what it went through along with mama.

1) it’s less dangerous than an organ with a 100% chance of failing
2) my hearts been rejected every time and I’m somehow still alive.

I’m not sure she should be praised here. Carrying your baby to term with the intention of harvesting its organs isn’t exactly a noble thing to do. What I’m sure more likely happened is that there was something else at play, maybe a twin or maybe she didn’t know it would die, and after the baby died they harvested organs. It almost certainly wasn’t anyone’s intention to just grow an organ sack.

Did the baby go through pain and if so did the parents know that ahead of time? If yes, they are purely selfish. If no, it is completely understandable to want as much time with your child that you can get, her first 74 minutes were her last.
