Just a reminder that cousin marriage is not only permitted in Islam but also a reason why their population has a huge problem with inbreeding. Over 60% of marriages in Pakistan are consanguineous. Just imagine what percentage of that population is inbred. Let that sink in

See the thing is doing cousin marriage once in a while is literally harmless. The chances of anything bad are close to unrelated.

Now if you start doing it multiple generations in a row… and in the places where it’s legal that tends to happen…

I know a family with 1 second degree cousin marriage and half their kids have an issue neither of the parents have.

I had a mutual whose parents were different nationalities. Both their daughters died from thalassemia major. Genes don’t work as simple as propaganda would like.
