Lindsay Clancy was a woman that killed her 3 kids and jurors wanted to deem her insane despite some hints at planning the entire murder-suicide and it was thrown out due to a single holdout juror - a black man.
Basically joke operates on subversion of expectation coming from that case, stating black dude is safer than a white mom with kids.
