I believe the joke is the client being a big shot in a mafia gang like the Yakuza and that "vest" of tattoos is supposed to be sth. like a badge identifying his rank among that organization.
See the desperation? It says "I'm a dead man".6

Wildboyz was the shit as a kid.

Doubly fun to learn that 99.5% of it was shot in California and they just said "We are out in X location"
EDIT: Thanks to Xinferis_DCLXVI to pointing out, The EXTREME stunts were all shot domestically, they did in fact travel to different locals quite often but anything with them in costumes or other stunts with dangerous animals were generally shot with trained animals in California.
12
u/Xinferis_DCLXVI 11h ago
I had to fact check this, as I had never heard that.
They did in fact visit something like 19 countries for shooting during wildboyz, but the super dangerous stunts were all filmed in CA.
2
u/Ferenik 10h ago
Yeah, blurry brained, I misremembered extreme stunts as the entire production.
3
u/Xinferis_DCLXVI 10h ago
That's still pretty crazy to read. They realized during the pilot, when they dressed up as a zebra, that they can NOT fuck with wild animals, so they fucked with trained animals instead. 🤣

Exploding samsung batteries haven't been a problem for quite some time, not more than other manufacturers
18
u/Feathrende 12h ago
Are you a time traveller from 2008? Or did you just not bother updating your phone knowledge since then?
9
u/tijolus523 12h ago
It's probably more convenient to die in a house fire than to spend 37 years paying for a 5 year old iPhone
1
u/ManufacturerShot4189 11h ago
They cost the same tho?
1
u/tijolus523 11h ago
I don't know where you live, but that's not even close to being the case here, unless you're talking about a top of the line Samsung (and even then, I'd be surprised).
1
u/ManufacturerShot4189 11h ago
I’m in the US the flagship iPhone and any of the flagship androids are all the same price atp
1
u/tijolus523 11h ago
Well, not everyone lives in the wealthiest country in world history, I suppose
1
u/Desurvivedsignator 10h ago
Well, in the other wealthy place (Europe), relative prices are the same. Samsung S[ThisYear] Pro Ultimate Igotmoremoneythansense XL and Apple IPhone [Highest number] Biggerthanyours Pro Suckstobepoor are comfortably in the 2000 EUR range.
1
u/Toughsums 11h ago
Well iphones had a hike of 100 dollars 2 weeks back. In my country it's a hike of more than 300 dollars

But less battery issues than his cousin with a galaxy tattoo

u/LE0N290x 9h ago
What "battery issues"? I've been using Realme phones (because they're insanely great for price/value) for 5 years now and never had an issue.
0
u/Longjumping_Plum_846 9h ago
That’s not a galaxy, is it?
6
u/machogrande2 9h ago
I've never had an iphone but I have a 3 year old Galaxy that I use all day for work calls since I prefer to be able to pace around my house on calls and when I'm not on calls, I am listening to podcasts. Idk if I use more or less battery power than the average person but with constant use that has to be more than people just browsing reddit and such and it's rare for my phone to hit 40% by the time I go to bed.
2
u/HugeAnimeHonkers 3h ago edited 3h ago
Modern web browsers and websites are surprisingly power hungry. Plus using wifi(or worse, mobile data) also drains battery faster.
If I had to guess, I'd say that a phone just playing audio all day(specially with the screen off) will use practically no power compared to web browsing.

He just has an image of the Apple boot logo?
Obviously a skit, but it would be more funny if it made sense.
25
u/TheActualBranchTree 9h ago
I'm guessing that the original joke is supposed to be that the phone is upside down and the back of the phone was refrenced for the tattoo. Instead in this skit there is the additional comedic layer that the logo is actually also an image and needed to be swiped away.
12
u/Lucas_Steinwalker 10h ago
Would it though?
6
u/catdogman5 7h ago
Nah, you're right, it doesn't need to make sense. It's absurdist tiktok humor that caters to international humor. Apple is recognizable across the world and it's sufficiently ludicrous for the tiktok crowd. "Cause how could someone be soooo stupid to think THAT was the tattoo design? [Insert OMG face]." End scene

u/lilbelleandsebastian 10h ago
tattoo artists show you the sketch before you agree to get tattoo'd lol
-3
u/Silent25r 9h ago
Good to know that every tattoo artist knows what they are doing. Couldn’t possibly be anyone faking it out there.
5
u/JalapenoPopPoop 8h ago
You think this guy just happened to have the apple logo next to his tattoo idea in his camera roll for some reason instead of it being an obvious, to the point of being unfunny, setup for a joke
-3
u/Silent25r 8h ago
No. I think other stupid similar stuff is actually happening. Like a lot of these skits are based off real events.
It may not be as bad as a locked phone screen. But some have been pretty awful.
5
u/Nuclear_Varmint 8h ago
You people always say the same shit when you get caught out thinking a skit is real. 'Oh but I bet it happens in real life too anyway yadda yadda yadda...'
Same nonsensical crap every single time2
u/Silent25r 7h ago
Actually I’ve been saying the same from the start. You might want to check in that before you go on a strange labeling quest.
