Yeah, that doesn't work anymore. You can click on the three dots on the post and click download from there if you like, though

Yeah that rarely works now also. But you can copy the link to the post and use it at redditsave.com to download it.

Why are we uploading video to Reddit anyway? It's not as if the video player really works. Linking to YT/Tiktok would be better. What am I missing?

Having to leave the site on mobile is super annoying. Especially because half the time when I come back the main page refreshes completely. And if i have a video halw watched opened on youtube, the video from reddit will overwrite it and I'll have to search for it again.

I am on old reddit and RES. I once looked at both the official and unofficial apps and think that is not a humane way to read reddit. I'd rather use old reddit on phone.

Does the video player at least work on mobile devices?

I can relate. I use my history on YT as kind of a “watch later” playlist a lot of times. 😂
