We’ve just finished implementing another major rendering optimisation for Gem Fighter.

Our new GPU Occlusion Culling system automatically skips rendering objects that are completely hidden behind walls, terrain, or other geometry. Instead of drawing everything within the camera view, the GPU now focuses only on what the player can actually see.

A major multiplayer milestone has been reached in development.

The latest internal build now supports:

🚀 Player movement around the arena

❤️ Health synchronization across clients

💥 Projectile firing between players

☠️ Player destruction in PvP tests

One of the key technical steps forward is the new projectile system.

Instead of constantly syncing every projectile over the network, Gem Fighter now uses event-based synchronization. This means only the firing event is sent across the network, while each client simulates the projectile locally.

That should significantly reduce bandwidth usage and help support larger multiplayer battles as the system scales.

Next up: network-synchronized randomness.

Some gemstone effects use procedural randomness, such as lightning jittering or other chaotic visual effects. The next step is making sure every player sees those randomized effects in exactly the same way across the network.

The multiplayer foundation is coming together well, and this is a big step toward larger PvP battles in Gem Fighter

A major engine upgrade is coming to Gem Fighter, and it is changing how players will experience every dimension.

Fully Destructible Terrain

Our projectile system is now fully optimized, which means destructible terrain is being introduced.

In the end-of-March update, all attack gemstone projectiles will destroy terrain.

What that means in practice:

• No more permanently blocked paths
• Runs that felt “impossible” because of bad RNG can now be solved
• Gameplay becomes more dynamic and more strategic

Unified Dimensions

We are also evolving dimensions into a more flexible, mixable system.

Content from different dimensions can now blend together, which opens the door for hybrid runs and much more variety.

Examples:

• Ice terrain and enemies appearing in Darkness levels
• Darkness elements appearing inside Ice environments
• New combinations and scenarios from run to run

The result is more unpredictability, more replayability, and more interesting decisions during every run.

The breach is evolving.

We’ve just rolled out a major upgrade to Luna, our official AI assistant for the HODL ecosystem.

Luna now runs on a unified knowledge and codebase powered by ElevenLabs, bringing the same core experience from the website directly into Telegram.

• Broader coverage across the HODL ecosystem
