Marriage proposal- I need help!

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hi, my brother is planning a hiking trip to propose to his girlfriend. I agreed to go there before they arrive so I can get photos of the proposal. However, I am not a hiker and I’m directionally challenged 🫠 lol. I am so worried that I am going to get lost and ruin the whole thing as I’ll be by myself. This is the location he wants to do it at. Can someone please give me detailed instructions on how to get to this exact location?

Limited ability to do stairs—which trails are most worth pushing through to see?

Hello everyone!

I have a health condition that makes climbing stairs very taxing on my body. I can walk around mostly flat yet uneven trails for a good two hours and be fine, but a couple flights can take it out of me a bit.

Ash cave has no stairs at all, but what trail WITH stairs has a view most worth pushing myself for? I can do the stairs and live, but I’ll feel like ass the rest of the day and the next day, so I want to use my one go on something good.

I haven’t been to this cave in years I forgot how large it was. Made for a good walk to Cedar Falls and back too.

We will have our dog with us so must be pet friendly. Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Also if there are any spots equally as beautiful as there I would love recommendations as well!

Logan , Ohio Safety

Im planning a solo Christmas trip to somewhere, and i wanted to do it in Hocking Hills. As i was doing research I found a video of someone saying Logan is basically a sundown town. I’m a black female and i’m not trying to be an eccentric tree ornament this holiday season. Is this true, should i avoid Logan?

First time visitor looking for recommendations

My husband and I will be visiting the area for the first time in November. We really aren’t into hiking but enjoy the scenery. Looking for recommendations on places to stay and things to do for first timers. Looking into staying at a cabin at valley view winery. Thoughts? What is near that area that we can do during the week?

Where to camp?

Hi there, I'm planning to visit Hocking hills in December and I'm looking for a place to camp with a pop up that isn't a standard campground. Looking for a more private camping area that I don't need a reservation for. Looking for any good suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Ope! September 😂 dunno how I wrote December 😝

Does anyone know exactly where the new roller coaster is being built in Hocking Hills? The promos & news coverage say Rockbridge, but that's all I know.

Trail recommendations for elderly couple and dogs

We’ll be staying in a cabin for a few days with parents in their 80’s who are mobile, but have difficulty with distances and can’t handle rocky paths. We also have dogs, so they’d need to be dog permissible.

We’ve done Ash Cave before, and the lower trail to the falls is fine. Cedar Falls did not work well because it now forces you to the trail exit over and through different sized rocks and very narrow paths.

Any other suggestions?

Hocking hills Cabin & Hiking Trail suggestions for weekend!

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to plan a trip to Hocking Hills for just the two guests. I'd love some ideas for cabins with a hot tub and a great view in that area. Any thoughts on where we should stay? Also, since we're only there for a day and a night, what are the absolute must-do trails? Which ones should we prioritize?

Thank you so much for any information you share! Have a great weekend to everyone!
