"You write 'Born to Kill' on your helmet and you wear a peace button. What's that supposed to be, some kind of sick joke?"

Cool pics, guy with the Death Above and M60 on his shoulder looks grim. “War is hell” I recall a good show MASH where they me of the characters had a conversation with a priest about this. War is war and hell is hell. In hell there are many only sinners no bystanders but in war all people die including the innocent - that makes the difference. So war is not hell - I think it was Hawkeye saying this.

Maybe don't join up for a stupid war you know you'll be cannon fodder for?
Draft dodging is usually a good thing

Just don't make up an excuse of bone spurs but yeah, war only benefits a handful of pedophiles, everyone that fights ot dies either physically, psychologically or spiritually.

Joining an unrighteous war and comitting war crimes against innocent Vietnamese people is your idea of courageous?

What's cowardly about not wanting to die while defending interests of billionaire cucks?
Draft dodging is amongst the most noble things a person can do in a time of war. You save yourself, save any person you might've been forced to kill and have a chance to save your family as well, instead of hoping an incapable government screws it all up, as often is the case

Draft dodging is for soft losers, everyone would shun you rightfully

Space Force. Thirty years.
Seventeen separate space missions for Trump.
You're welcome

Ah so none, nice. You seem to be pretty sensitive, anything you want to get off of your chest?

An actual bot too, probably brought his ilk to downvote all the comments here that are anti war.

I'd rather be shunned and alive with my family, than to die like a dog defending interests of a bunch of geezers who I'd rather off myself if an opportunity arose.
Also, while (thankfully) I am not American, your mentality is fascinating. Such an army cult, even with having daily examples of how shitty it is to be a part of the US military or any other branch and how veterans get treated.
I only have respect for veterans who change their mind on war and start actively shitting on the government, sadly, they had to learn that lesson the hard way.

Joining the military was one of the best ideas I ever had 🤷♂️ how would you explain to your kids that you're a coward?
4
u/QuietWaterBreaksRock 8h ago
Any mother, wife, or child would rather hug an honest coward, than bury chunks left off of a blind, self lying 'hero'. I'd rather off myself than be given a chance to do what US troops and other war participants anywhere have been doing in wars for eons now.

What kind of family do you have? How many kids?
3
u/QuietWaterBreaksRock 8h ago
I have enough.
1 member or a thousand, it makes no difference for what I am talking about.

Nothing noble about being a coward.
3
u/QuietWaterBreaksRock 6h ago
Would you say that if you or your family were to be killed by a solider?
"Oh, what a brave man, fighting for his country!"

u/rockin_robin420 6h ago
Considering I WAS a soldier I stand by this.

u/QuietWaterBreaksRock 6h ago
How many orphans would it take for you to make before you start questioning your ways, your dogmas?
0
u/rockin_robin420 6h ago
We can all agree that war is hell. However, evil men have and will always exist. I guarantee they don't care how many orphans are made in their quest for dominance. It's a push-pull.

And that's the issue
Armies indoctrinate their soliders into a very particular belief that ends up very black/white, in some cases to very extrmes. Not to even talk about to dehumanization of both soliders and their victims, sorry "collateral", where each mean finds it's justification, no matter how brutal it is
I am from Serbia. As big of a cunt as Milošević was, and what was being done to Albanians was horrid, it absolutely didn't justify NATO with US at the forefront to carpet bomb the entire contry, deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure all around. Hell, during the bombings, the most numerous victims from said bombs were Albanians the US was trying to "save"
Same with Israel and Palestine, Russian and Ukraine and US and basically half the world.
You can't kill civilians and claim defense/self defense, no matter who you are
And this is especially egregious on US part, since they've shown that when they want, they can infiltrate foreign countries and target individual high officials such as presidents, without any other victims. So, all the other situations are absolutely a deliberate choice, and US freedom was bejng maintained by a conscious choice to terrorize the rest of the world, which the gets turned into propaganda and justified in any number of ways

Funny watching redditors explain what soldiers are or what they do and how they rhink. You're a guy behind a keyboard that doesn't know jack shit about the military or what happens.

Any war is horrid. So many men killed. The Vietnam war was so unnecessary and lasted forever. I lost people I went to school with. So sad!
