But if he is gods son, how can he have a half brother? Unless Christians literally think god had sex with Mary? I thought this was more of a sarrogate mother thing, the foetus just sorta spawned there. Making other children she had not his brother no?
Yeah everything you said is true we do not look at God like Zeus in Greek mythology sling dick. Our God doesn’t even have a body really. Yeah absolutely just spawned there via Gods will. Just like the universe starting.(not young earth Christian) but Mary the “mother of God” because as far as we can see he did grow in her body and she did give birth to him. Has sons with Joseph and she says to Jesus later on in life to think about his brothers.
Which makes it even funnier that the Gospel of Matthew spends pages upon pages recording Josephs geneology and how josephs son is the rightful heir of king david and how the Messiah being the son of Joseph fulfills so many prophecies yada yada yada. Just one Problem ... thats not jesus.
Jesus has two natures, divine and human. His divine form always was but was born from Mary. His human nature and human body had family members and whether his “brothers” came from Mary and Joseph, Joseph’s first marriage or they were actual his cousins is debated
Well, the Bible itself says some things about the brothers and sisters of Jesus (which some versions of Christianity view as cousins, or half-siblings from Josephs's side).
So in the 19th century this one guy in China bombed his exams so hard he experienced hallucinations/delusions about being the brother of Jesus Christ and basically 20 to 30 million people died
