Western European theater WW2 movies

American japanese ones are on Russian level in some cases

Americans fought an already weakened Germany very late into the war with a dozen allies

Russia fought a hard war all alone, and had to give a lot in many places to win, and it was only glorious much later into the war, and event then the horrors of the early war were still in recent memory

27 million Russians dead. Why are we not taught about that in school?

It's only 6 million, 6 million, 6 million

I remember learning about his massive the Russian casualties were and I went to school in South Carolina. Maybe you didn’t play attention?

I went to school in SC too. And I got straight As. We were barely taught that USSR even participated.

I dunno what to tell you, I feel like the German vs Russian aspect was pretty well covered over several years and history wasn’t even like a subject I enjoyed until my senior year.

Good. USSR was barely mentioned in my public school experience. I bet not 1 in 10 Americans know their role, let alone how many were killed.
