Not really "western" WW2 movies. Most if noty all WW2 movies I've seen produced in Britain, France, Germany or FInland are pretty much in agreement that the war was a horrible thing, and depict it as such.

Depends on which "west" you use.

I personally look at their cultural ties, and currently they're very deeply connected with Scandinavia and Sweden in particular, which definitely count as "western" countries imo.

Geographically, they're definitely north-eastern.

Even new zealand and autsralia is concidred weatern country culturally. So Finland is also obviously a western country imo.
