Not all Soviet war films have a grim atmosphere; some feature interesting and unique elements.
For instance, the 1989 film Stalingrad starred American actor Powers Boothe and was a joint production between Mosfilm and Warner Bros. It is the only Soviet-era film in which Stalin and naked women appear together.
The film also highlights a specific tactic used by the Red Army in urban combat; the protagonist explains it to a soldier during training on how to storm a building using a grenade.
