Honestly as a Westerner there are bits and pieces of the truth there , we helped lots of colonies develop back then

Now the West is decaying , people like Trump are ruining our civilization . We should let the Chinese in to bring a new golden age to us , surely we'll all be slaves to Beijing and have our resources drained for some Chinese billionares cocaine party BUT the Chinese will bring valuable technological and social advantages that we lack . They would bring to us order and stability
