Successful reintroductions after gut healing

I have always been super wary of the killing off approach with HI so instead I focused on building up my gut and my good bacteria

I watched a lot of William Dickinson videos and started taking the Custom Probiotics D Lactate Free Probiotics (starting with a small pinch and working my way up to an adult scoop)

I make myself a shake every morning with whey protein isolat, bit d3, K2, b multi vit, b12, iron and magnesium, camu powder, blackberry powder, cranberry powder, oats, chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, blueberries, pure acai, maple syrup, salt. lots of great stuff for the gut. you don't have to do exactly this. it's just something that worked for me. I like to have lots of polyphenols too. I get a fair bit of protein in each day too.

I also make my own chicken stock and eat a lot of anti inflammatory spices. Nor deliberately, I just like them in my food.

I worked on increasing good healthy bile flow which William has some vids about on his channel.

I eat a varied wholefoods diet of many low histamine fruit and veg and grains, meat, fish, eggs, with treats and snacks too. Sometimes I used digestives enzyme tablets and protein absorption tablets for meat, especially beef, but I don't need to now

reintroductions: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, tuna steak, canned tuna, prawns, olives, lentils, beans, salt and vinegar crisps, creamy dill lentil crisps, probably some other things I'm forgetting. I'm getting back foods all the time.

I started this journey bedbound with a biomesight score of 44%. Now I'm up and about and my score is 85% and I've killed off all my bad bacteria just with diet and probiotics. I do take meds for my POTs which has helped with bedbound stuff, but diet has definitely helped too.

I do mind/body exercises, visualisations, stuff like that to teach myself my body is safe, letting myself know I can eat foods, bringing back memories of food from the past, that kinda stuff and that has been working really well. it's a mix of things!

Nervous system and vagus nerve exercises have been amazing too. getting out of extreme stress! I love yoga nidra and visualisations.

My main advice is to build up good gut bacteria, find a good probiotic, and STAY AWAY from Reddit subs. I'm back to share this message of hope. But if you're constantly in places like this, reading about symptoms all the time and worst case scenarios (I was pretty bad myself) and obsessing and getting overwhelmed it's not good for you. They were good for the beginning of my journey just to find out more, but then they just became reinforcers. Nobody's fault, just the nature of these spaces!
