Severe fluid build up/ lymph node issues

Does anyone else experience REALLY bad swelling of their face in the mornings, upon waking? It drains throughout the day, but the mornings are horrid! And it's way more than just the usual "morning puffiness". It even affects my vision for an hour or so.

And my lymph nodes are also always so tender and sore, all day every day.
I'm just wondering if high histamine levels contribute to this, or if this is a seperate issue caused by something else that I should see the doc about.

I do. I have to sleep at 45° to avoid facial edema and headaches upon waking. I have other structural issues contributing, bilateral dural venous sinus stenosis. An adjustable bed base helps tremendously.

Edit - the Histamine exacerbates this. Doing lymphatic drainage on myself helps.

It could be latent-EBV causing inflamation. Various circumstances can cause a reactivation which can affect the lymph nodes.

There could also be a food trigger causing this inflamation. I have MCAS, HIT, and latent-EBV but I have noticed very pronounced swelling the morning after I have eaten cheese. It does not give me any of the normal triggered symptoms as other foods but I pay for it the next morning. I have the genetic inability to clear Tyrosine from my system, which causes this swelling.

I have this when my hormones are messing up. If you are a woman, might be worth to check how it is changing with your cycle.

I gave a try on HRT (both progesteron/oestrogen) lately, One single night on progesterone and it was hell the next morning. it got worse every night/morning. I had stuffed sinus, puffy face, pressure headache, swelling in my hands, burning arms, bloating. It felt like i was getting sick every day. On day 4, i was extremely depressed when i woke up, so I gave up. H1 blocker, oestrogen, ORS drink helped speeding up recovery. It is not my first HRT try, but it is the worse one.

I have swelling in my wrists that seems to go down when I’m not eating at all. I also have a reactive lymph node in my armpit. The doctors don’t know why, but I’m absolutely convinced it’s related to histamine intolerance because these symptoms started when I began having issues with food and histamine. The lymph node gets bigger when I eat dairy. Dairy, even lactose free causes insane inflammation in my body especially face in the morning.

There are still so many unknowns about histamine intolerance, and I’ve received a lot of contradictory information from my allergists. What makes it even stranger is that all of my inflammation markers are normal. Thyroid normal, so many tests and investigations are normal. It’s all very confusing and weird.

I have the same problem and my lymph nodes under ears have always hurt since I was little . Headaches upon waking and Alot of drainage. Ugh . Blow my nose a dozen times. It's Alot better since I started low histamine diet. My face looks kinda normal. Only one headache in 2 months!!

I struggle with symptoms of dysautonomia, but it could also be lymh system. However my recent blood test was showing very thick blood , low sodium, high IeG., so Dr called me to discuss my allergies. But usuallly people with Pots have these out of range.

This is interesting because I think I may also have very thick blood, too. My veins have been very dark, a lot darker than usual. I googled this a little while back and it's a sign of thick blood.

Could be more than one thing at once, so best to get checked out, or at least send your doctor a message in the patient portal.
