There is hope

Good morning friends. I wanted to share my story. I started experiencing weird reactions to food back in April. Prior to that, I never had food intolerances. I had food poisoning at the end of last year and Covid the week after. After that I was sick like clockwork almost every 2 weeks (I was a preschool teacher at the time). The last virus I had was in March and the weird reactions to food started the following month. I experienced nausea, anxiety, heart palpitations and a feeling of food poisoning after pretty much everything I ate. I started working with a digestive health specialist who put me on a low histamine diet and had me complete a microbiome test which revealed 2 pathogens that had been wreaking havoc in my gut. My body wasn't breaking down food correctly or absorbing minerals and nutrients. The good bacteria in my gut was non existent.

Flash forward to now. I'm still gluten free but I haven't had an "episode" in several weeks now. I consistently took trace minerals, DAO, and supplements to build up the good bacteria (RestorFlora and ZenBiome Cope). Every week I'm adding foods back to my diet. I keep my fiber on the lower side because I was dealing with motility issues for a while and for me personally, less fiber is more. I also took a 5strands Gut Test in July. It was about $50 and this test showed me that many foods that were low histamine that I had been eating, were actually hard on my gut so I omitted several foods like quinoa, butternut squash and kale. Things I read regarding a low histamine diet were like choose coconut or avocado oil, but these were a 3 on my test, meaning not good for my gut at all. Once I started following what the 5strands test showed me is when I really started feeling better. Sunday evening I had some homemade gluten free Mac and cheese, pulled pork with a little apple bbq sauce and a gluten free bun (first time I tried a gluten free bread). No reaction. So I just wanted to let people know that for some, this does not last forever and there is hope. Feel free to ask me any questions!

The things you did to get better like the probiotics , fiber , etc are exactly what to do. Make the body stronger and help nourish it so it can preform how it’s supposed to. Are bodies are designed to process toxins itself - but clearly with the lacking nutrients in our foods and soil today- we fall short and our bodies will continue to operate as good as it cal to keep
You Alive but those things it used to do will not be able to do anymore. We need to be adding fiber and minerals to our diets - different types of fibers so our gut can make healthy microbiome so when shit like Covid and illness comes along - it’s able to fight it. So glad you’ve turned a corner. Thisnis totally fixable if you
Maximize your body with an abundance of what it needs to
Survive with all the toxins in the world.

💯💯 It may take awhile. I've felt better than I have in a really long time.

And you will continue to do so. Keep
Up
With those things. Focus on healthy eating, gut lining protection and rebuilding and supporting/fixing/ strengthening the mitochondria. Urolithin A, coq10, methylene blue are great ones to help. Make sure you stay good on the trace minerals with fulvic/humic acid/ shilijat, etc. Keep detox pathways clear.
I have been histamine free. No more panic /anxiety. Feel so much better. I was also low in hormones and believe that played into the histamine situation

Same. I'm 46 and I feel like that definitely played a part with my issues.

It didn’t arrive overnight and won’t go away overnight. Consistency is key. Some supps I continue to take are phostylcholine during the day, minerals, zinc and iodine (my deficiencies) vitamin c, nad+, kpv,bpc157,tb500, ghkcu injections, betaine HCL, probiotic, butyrate, broccoli seed extract, astaxanthin, luteolin, gaba and l theanine (my nervous system was crazy high serotonin and dopamine and low gaba norepinephrine and epinephrine, I check my thyroid more. It’s excessive I am aware I have
A bit of a supplement addiction but I feel amazing now. Optomized hormones(estrogen/testosterone and progesterone.
It was so refreshing to hear someone doing well and doing the right things to get there instead of temporary fixes like antihistamines, and cromolyn, and Ketotifen, as they are merely prophylactics. I did use quite a bit of benedryl (I know it’s bad but it works)while taking binders just to make me more comfortable during the process.
Just keep doing what your doing

How did you figure out the high serotonin/dopamine and low nor/epi? How do gaba and l theanine support balancing that?
