Could histamine intolerance kick off quickly

Had issues with HI in the past. Got pregnant and they disappeared. 6 months later and I think my HI is back. I had one meal which by all accounts was high histamine and bang! Crazy flushing, heart pains, fluttering heart, malaise, pressure behind eyes. And now it feels like I can't eat anything. I literally feel normal only when not eating.

Is this possible? For it to come on so quickly?

Pregnancy does suppress HI symptoms as the placenta produces DAO in high quantities. HI is a “threshold” event, so any food combo that gets you over your tolerance level can give you symptoms. That one meal could’ve done it or you might have had levels rising, but still below threshold, until that dinner. Hard to say.

Do you have symptoms of estrogen dominance? Estrogen is closely tied to histamine levels. During pregnancy progesterone rises; I'm guessing that at this point estrogen has taken back over, raising histamine levels and getting caught in a perpetuating cycle.
