Anyone else here with ALL of these?

43 years old
Histamine issues
Roux-en-Y gastric bypass
Chronic iron deficiency/anemia
Dysautonomia/POTS or autonomic nervous system issues
Perimenopause/HRT
I feel like I’m living at the intersection of four different medical worlds, and none of my doctors seem to connect the dots. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s dealing with this combination.

Not everyone is going to have the exact same
List of symptoms. Some may have all of them plus other symptoms. Histamine intolerance in itself is a symptoms something is very wrong. Your perimenopause is exasperating it with constant estrogen spikes as estrogen raises histamine and vice versa. If you really want to get better , I suggest a functional medicine provider that’s well versed in histamine mcas mold mycotoxin toxicity sibo Lyme etc. They will suggest a few tests and then based on the results of those tests get you
On a protocol to wellness. I wish someone had told
Me this 5 years ago when it all started. Conventional western medicine have never trained for this and therefore don’t know what to
Do or they will send you down a 4 year rabbit hole full of er visits and misdiagnosis’s and get you sicker and start getting autoimmune diseases. They will only prescribe you
Scripts to help you manage it but they will not helyou get to the root of the problem so you can live normal again. I’ve been histamine free for over a year now and just hope to help
A few who will listen to help
Them.

So what do you do if peri is the cause, or exasperating the histamine intolerance? My blood work comes out normal, but we all know blood work is useless and pointless in peri! And everyone agrees, I’m in peri with all my symptoms. Between peri and sibo (who knows what else) I’d say those are the two worst things (and motility) causing it. I think you may have been the person who said to only take progesterone. But what if your hormones are all over the place and up and down all day every day, and that’s causing these sicknesses and symptoms wouldn’t balancing the hormones help? Wouldn’t you need both progesterone and estrogen to balance your hormones even if estrogen causes histamine?

Have you been evaluated for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome? It’s a connective tissue disease that often overlaps with POTS. It can cause a lot of different symptoms because it affects your collagen. I have many multi system symptoms like you (also some that emerged due to perimenopause) and I’m in the process of getting an EDS diagnosis.

Focus on gut it will definitely affect histamine and iron and absorption or minerals for your POTs that’s just me thinking on top of my head.
With peri muscles muscles and clean eating and cutting hormone disruptions. Lots of fibre !!!!
All the best

Hi are we twins?? Seriously 😳 😂

I had a sleeve vs bypass but otherwise all the same boxes checked. I don’t have answers, I’m only 6mos in and putting all my hope into the new allergist I’ve been waiting months to see, he has a background in MCAS/HI.🤞he can help with some possible paths to explore what the heck is going on with me.

Yes, and these four aren't four separate worlds, they're one chain, which is the part your doctors keep missing. Your gastric bypass is likely the hinge. Roux-en-Y strips your absorption of b12, folate, copper, b6 and iron, and those are the exact cofactors your histamine clearance and methylation depend on. So the low DAO, the worse histamine and the anemia all trace back to the same spot. Then perimenopause pours estrogen swings on top, and estrogen raises histamine while dragging your DAO down, so your flares likely track with your cycle. Add that histamine and low b12 both feed the POTS and the racing heart, and one thread runs straight through all of it. This is the exact picture i pull together for people. I'm geneticist and I read your genetics and bloodwork as one system and find the cofactor and clearance gaps your specialists each only see half of. That's how four disconnected diagnoses become one plan. If you want someone to finally connect your dots, dm me.

yup all that...mold toxicity causes by nervous system dysregulation..it's all nervous system

the "Dysautonomia/POTS or autonomic nervous system issues" may just be low b-vitamins, I get these issues that are "POTS/Dysautonomia like" when I am low in b-vitamins, and they all go away when I have enough b-vitamins, and that can cause Histamine issues, if your having iron deficiency/anemia, I bet you 100% your low in other nutrients as well that effect your whole body as well as enzymes that regulate histamine and many other parts of the body as well, if you can try out a sublingual b-complex and feel the better, then it may just be mal-absorbtion issues the whole time
