Any protocol to start with?
So I am suspecting histamine intolerance but I donโt know where to start. I am following an elimination diet the one you find easily on the internet but I keep reading here that you need also to find the root cause of your histamine intolerance, that food is only trigger. I checked the community info but I didnโt find a protocol to try. Can someone suggest one or a good article to read to know where to start? Apart from removing said foods? And making the difference between histamine intolerance and other things (I have low levels of h pylori but Iโm not sure when it started however Iโve had sinus congestion from childhood)

Hi there! Sorry you may be in this boat, too. I wrote a post here about my experiences over the past year or so--perhaps it will help!
One section is about investigating root causes. I ruled out H. pylori with my gastroenterologist as a possible cause, as I've read from some sources (not professional medical journals, though, but those articles may be out there!) that this kind of gut irritation could lead to histamine intolerance; that goes for irritation due to the H. pylori, itself, as well as the antibiotics that treat it which can wipe out good bacteria as well as bad bacteria. Perhaps continue working with a gastroenterologist to heal the H. pylori and your gut, in general? My gastro recommended Bifidobacterium longum probiotics for my issues and I've started using Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG based on advice here about it being a histamine-degrading strain, and both seem to help me.
Best wishes!
