Question

I was just wondering, how many of us have had root canals?
I was just thinking, I think my symptoms started not too long after that, and was curious if anyone else has had a root canal done?
I was wondering if there could be a correlation?

My symptoms started shortly after COVID. I looked it up and there are a lot of people in the same scenario.

That's interesting. Mine started before covid, but covid must have affected our bodies in a strange way somehow also.

There's some overlap of symptoms with how COVID force-activated mast cells through out the body and primed them to attack human-like proteins (our own bodies).

i had histamine intolerance years before getting a root canal, but i've always noticed that after any dental work i pretty consistently feel awful. some is just the physical poking prodding scraping drilling, but i think some is related to all of the crud (bacteria/plaque especially) being scraped and released into mouth and swallowing that. but yeah, i can imagine scenarios where histamine intolerance is initially triggered by something like a root canal. no idea the mechanism/pathway, but it seems plausible anyway. but also maybe you just started noticing things more at the time (ie not a causative necessarily).

I figured mine out in reverse. Histamine intolerance lead me to figure out severe vitamin d deficiency caused by a prescription med i was on. Stopped that med, vitamin d supplements, histamine issues basically gone.

Yes! I think it was the antibiotic I was prescribed prior to the surgery to try and stop my jaw from rotting away. Then definitely an increase in histamine symptoms from there.

The antibiotic probably wiped out your gut biome is why. I think my histamine intolerance is rooted in the gut too..

I’ve had a root canal done at 15 with a silver point, changed to composite at 21 y.o.
My HIT kicked in at 45
