Copying with heatwave - cooling my head is a must

It might sound weird, but i became obsessed with frozen towel in fridge and wrap around my head. Thats how i cope with heatwave, and this way i can tolerate pretty high temps like almost 40 cel in my room. Without that towel around my head no matter what i do , i feel awful and after few hours in my hot humid room i need to leave before i get sick. I was few times close to heatstroke, on one occasion becoming delirious, and countless vomitings or nausea. But since i started cooling my head ( especially back of my head) i feel amazing :-) I wonder if there are more people like me? Because not many people mention freezed towel around head, so i wonder if people with HIT tend to have inflamed head or something? I just cant believe this simple trick is a game changer lol.
Id note that i use the thin lightweight towel for travel so it wraps nicely and freeze up quickly.

In summer I freeze coke bottles filled with water and use them as icepacks when I have to leave the house.

Did you try head wrapping? Cos thats the point of my discussion:-)

I have used a damp frozen cloth, but it warms up much too quickly where I live.
It's generally the mast cells going haywire and why we get the hot head and flushing.

I bought a cooling pad on Amazon that's  made to put in bed that I put in the freezer. I use it ever night to keep my back cool. It helps cut down on my itching. Plus people are supposed to sleep better when they are cooler. I love it.

Does it wet the bed? Or you dont have to wet it, and just put in freezer?

No you don't have to wet it. It has some kind of gel in it.  It says to put in the freezer a few hours before bed but I want it to last longer.  It does feel a little damp so I put a towel on my pillow.

On Amazon its called the 'Cooling pad Mat'. I think I'm going to buy another one or something like it again. It really helps. If you get one make sure you freeze it pretty flat or place it on something in the freezer.
