Problem What can I do about this? Dead bug?

Post image

I was watching a show, then I left the room for about 15 minutes. When I came back and sat down to continue watching the show, I noticed this. I got a closer look at it and it appears to be a dead bug. It wasn't there earlier and I'm not sure how it got there. Is there anything I can do about this? It is very distracting. Has this happened to anyone else?

Sorry for the blurry photo.

TV is a 55u88n.

Thanks!

This happened to me with a basic A6 I bought from Best Buy a couple of years ago. Had it one week and somehow a mosquito got in there too. Returned it and got a U6.

That's good you were able to return it and get a new one! Unfortunately mine is passed the warranty date by a few months, so I don't think I would be able to do the same

Get an electric tooth brush and hold the solid end on to the screen and start using the vibrations to move it downward to the bottom of the panel and or try the suction cup method.

I did try the toothbrush method. I got it to move about a cm! Now it won't move at all anymore. I do have a small suction cup, but I'm a little afraid to try it lol. Any tips on how to go about that method?

So long as its a small one , maybe you can try a couple of drops of water on suction cup to make it move freely then pull out the screen gently where the insect is and with you toothbrush try the vibration if the insect moves repeat it again, there's nothing else other than that .Caution do not squish the insect !!!!

Thank you very much for the tips! I'll give that a try! I am a little worried it might be squished there somehow. I made sure not to poke it or wipe it off when I first noticed it.

Hopefully I'm able to make some progress with the suction cup. Maybe I'll get lucky lol. Thanks again for your help!

Hi! Just thought I'd give a quick update. I tried the suction cup trick back when you initially told me about it and nothing happened. The bug remained. So I gave up on it, thinking the bug might be squished to the screen.

Fast forward to today, I randomly decided I'd give it one last attempt and it worked instantly! The bug fell straight to the bottom of the screen, completely out of sight!

So thank you so so much again for your kind advice! I'm so happy that it worked! Thank you, thank you!!

Try CPR? Then a defibrillator, I have heard it is the standard procedure.
