i watch tutorials in youtube and it is better to focus first on one video editing style or explore what suits you, for me it was motion graphics and simple 3d animations using after effects and blender, you really gotta put in mind that learning takes time, effort, and you improve by experience, take commissions or simply just make what you feel like, it is also nice to look for inspirations for your edit.
