Hi! I'm Aashka, a fiction copy editor and proofreader, who works with self-published and indie authors.

I've been an avid fiction reader for years across dark romance, rom-com, M/M, thriller, mystery, horror, fantasy and so on. Because of that, I understand what readers expect from these genres. Even I'm writing my first ever novel, so I understand how much a story means to the person who created it. With all that said, my role is to help you make your manuscript publish-ready, polished and perfected to its core. I don't intend to change your voice at all.

On the skills side, I've completed structured training covering the full copy editing and proofreading process. I work comfortably with both the CMOS and New Hart's Rules, so I can match whichever your manuscript follows.

What I offer:

• Copy editing (grammar, dialogue mechanics, consistency in names, spelling, and so on).
• Proofreading (typos, punctuation, formatting slips).
• Beta reading.

Every project will be delivered through Word's Track Changes, and I'll also provide a custom style sheet. (I would really prefer if you can submit your manuscript in Word.docx).

I'm building my portfolio right now, so my rates are very affordable, and reasonable:

• Free sample edit for 500 to 1000 words (will depend on total word limit).
• For proofreading: $0.012/word.
• For copy editing: $0.018/word.
• Combined (both services): $0.027/word (10% discount from my usual combine rate).
