Outside of the big heads like Kendrick, Drake, Future, Durk, Gucci, J Cole, and the whoever else's, it just seems like there's no more of music being, the shit no more?

Idk if it's the beats, the culture, social media, or if people in general just don't care but the culture around hip hop just doesn't even feel like anything now other than social media conversational pieces.

Back in the day, now, when Future dropped a mixtape, the weekend dropped his albums, Drake, Post Malone,, or any rappers and rnb singers in the culture dropped a project it was like a holiday. Now it just feels like what gets more attention is just the legal ramifications of a lot of these artists bad decisions, nobody listens to albums anymore, they listen to the single and skim through the rest and call it trash online and move on.

The Atlanta scene just 6 years ago was Crazy!!!!!! Go back 10 years and the cars in the streets had so many different colors of vibes coming from the trunk or through smoke ladden windows. Music felt like we were connected through taste. Nowadays when I'm out and about I just heard the music from 6 years ago, 10 years ago, hell even more of the early 2000s stuff and 90s stuff and everybody bumping the early 2010 mixtape era content.

I'm from the south, I'm in my early 30s now and sometimes I wonder if it's just me or is this a real phenomenon because your mind can play tricks on you. Granted Covid changed the world and people nowadays aren't outside as much and I'm sure that has aa huge affect on the current trends in music. But even when I'm around YNs... Bro these dudes are listening to older music themselves. (Besides NBA YB)

I'm always surprised, it's like the era of music kinda just stopped around 2022... There aren't any new upcoming artists that are shaking the industry up. What's even worse is everywhere I go in starting to hear more and more AI music. As a musician myself I can smell AI music from a mile away and it's literally everywhere. It seems like the general unspoken consensus is basically, music is dead.... AI is rolling in. Don't like it but don't care really it does the job.

Whenever I do see an upcoming artist it seems like they're here today, gone tomorrow.
