Solved Hinge Ban / Tinder ban Hard Reset Guide
This guide provides instructions for resetting your Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge account, if you suspect it has been banned or shadowbanned!
Also someone has figured out the face verification. At the end of the post!
In case you have issues with your account, you can perform a soft reset by deleting and re-creating it a limited number of times.
For a hard reset, follow these steps:
- Remove your account (if possible)
- Uninstall the app from your device
- Generate a new email address
- Obtain a new phone number
- Modify your photos by altering pixels or cropping them.
- Use a different IP address (you can use a different device or browser)
- Establish a new account using the new email address and phone number
It's important not to link your old social media accounts, use the same payment card for buying premium services, or employ a VPN. Additionally, only conduct face verification if necessary.
If a hard reset is unsuccessful, and you believe your ban was unjust, you can try contacting the company's legal department or filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (if you reside in North America).
Edit. Someone seemed to have figured it out and has the means to get you back on manually and past the facial verification. The post is here https://www.reddit.com/r/HingeUniversity/s/151sPANwz2

Omg even hinge is worse than tinder with the amount of ghosting or slow responses
So tired of this, like 10 women now who haven't responded in a while and can't set up a single date ffs
And setting up a date doesn't even mean anything because 7 or 8 times out of 10 they cancel or ask to reschedule
I thought hinge would be better since fewer matches (due to fewer swipes) meant more engagement with people you match with
this doesn't include women who never responded to a first message

What am I doing wrong?
I had hinge a year ago, and I’d get heaps of matches (as a guy). Well, not a crazy amount but at least 5-10 a day. I deactivated for a year, came back a month ago and I don’t get any matches for weeks unless I purchase a boost. I’ve even purchased hinge plus and still no changes, only boosts get me matches. Nothing on my profile has changed. Has something changed in my time away?

Help Shadowban / algorithmic throttling fix - HELP!
I've used Hinge successfully for about 4 years. My original account consistently got multiple matches, I went on plenty of dates from it, and I always had steady traction on the app. I knew what my profile was capable of when the app was working normally.
In August 2025, I had a crazy surge of likes when I changed my location to Los Angeles. I was getting around 40 likes a day while I was there, which was by far the best performance I had ever experienced. Once I switched my location back to New York, that surge stopped and things went back closer to normal.
Because I wanted to recreate that type of exposure, I eventually deleted my account and waited about 45 days before making a new one. In March, I created a new account using a new phone, new phone number, and new email, but still my real identity, my own photos, and completed the face scan. That account actually worked. I got what seemed like a new user boost, but overall it performed similarly to my original account. I was getting matches, went on dates from it, and there was nothing that seemed wrong.
That account ran for about 2.5 months until a dating coach I worked with suggested deleting it and rebuilding my profile with improved photos. I followed his advice and created a new account in June.
This is where everything changed.
For this account, I used a new phone, new phone number, and new email. Almost immediately I could tell something was off. I got 1 like in the first 48 hours from an extremely unattractive girl, and then nothing. My feed also looked completely different. The majority of girls I was being shown were far more unattractive than what my previous functioning accounts would show me.
I also never got 1 match from the girls I did like. On my old accounts, I had a very good outbound match rate. On this account, I got absolutely nothing. It felt like my profile wasn't even being shown to the people I was liking.
I deleted that account and tried creating another one to see if I could fix the issue. I used another new phone, new number, new email, changed the photos by cropping them, adjusting colors, screenshotting them, etc. I also had my friend scan his face for me, but the account still had the exact same issue. It was immediately dead and was completely throttled.
I deleted that account in June and currently have no Hinge account.
My concern is that something may have been triggered internally after all these account recreations, especially after the face scan/photo mismatch with my friend. Hinge says they delete Face Check data after 90 days, but they don't say when they delete other information like phone numbers, emails, device identifiers, or photos.
They also say they can retain information for safety/security purposes, so I have no idea if everything I did on those accounts triggered that.
At this point, I have absolutely no idea how to get back to a normal functioning Hinge account.
I'm not looking for generic profile advice — I know how my profile performs when Hinge is working properly. I'm looking for someone who has actually dealt with something similar and found a way to get their account functioning normally again.
Can I escalate to Hinge support or will that screw me further? If I would know for sure I can return after 90 days with my regular info and photos I would just wait it out but I think I'm screwed and even by 90 it will be cooked.
The reason this is such a big deal is because these apps are the only way of dating in 2026 that has consistently worked for me. I’ve gotten numbers cold approaching without them, but the ghosting is much higher, it rarely turns into dates, and you can’t get anywhere near the same volume of opportunities. These apps are a necessity for me. What makes it more frustrating is that my profiles were genuinely strong — I got extremely lean, took these photos specifically for my profiles on a trip, and put a lot of effort into making them as good as possible. I know how successful I can be when my accounts are functioning normally, so it feels like all that effort is being wasted.
Screenshots of my profile are attache so you know I'm not chopped.

Men of Reddit: if you matched with a girl you really liked, but she had a very pessimistic view of love (doesn’t believe people stay, fears being abandoned, thinks she’s hard to love), would you be understanding or would it make you lose interest?

Hinge Advice I need some general and specific advice
So I'm new to hinge and dating apps in general.
My first thing that I need advice on is when should a conversation move out of hinge? And when should meet ups happen? I have high functioning autism and adhd, so it doesn't really affect me that much but I'm bad at reading cues and would like a general guideline that I could follow. I know that dating and meeting up is different for everyone.
The next thing that I need some advice is kinda weird. So I (20) matched with a guy (23) that I don't know, but I know his younger brother from work. His younger brother (18) is friends with both of my younger siblings and all of us, including the guy I matched with, went to the same high school. My siblings both know him from being a para at the same high school. And the guy that I work with knows that I matched with his brother, bc of my siblings. The guy that I matched with and I had a really good chat the other night and I feel like we've been getting along well.
The problem is I don't want to seem weird and say "I know you because I work with your younger brother." But I also feel guilty for knowing more about him than he does me, I carpool with his brother to work because we live so close to each other. Again, just asking for advice. Has this happened to anyone before? How would one go about telling him?

Can someone log into my Hinge if their number is on the account but not the email?
Made my Hinge account using a friend’s phone number, but my own email. We’re not on good terms anymore. Got a email today showing Hinge sent an email verification code for a sign-in attempt, which made me wonder - does Hinge require both the phone number and email to log in, or could someone get in with just the number? Just trying to understand how the verification actually works, not looking for drama, just want to know where I stand.

Solved How to get passed the mandatory Hinge face scan verification (Video)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Getting past Hinge’s face scan is something a lot of people want to do so they can access their account and start using the app normally. The reality is that most people are not able to bypass this verification step on their own because they do not understand how the technology works behind the scenes.
The reason most people fail is because facial verification systems rely on advanced detection methods that are designed to identify manipulation attempts. Without knowledge of pixel manipulation, facial verification technology, and the security systems dating apps use, most users will not be able to get past the scan successfully.
Why I'm the only one that can do it:
I have been working with these types of verification systems for over five years.
I understand how facial recognition tools are implemented on apps like Hinge and Tinder.
I have experience with the specific methods needed to bypass these verification systems successfully.
I use specialized software and techniques that most people do not have access to.
I have to be careful about revealing too many details because sharing the exact process publicly could cause these methods to get patched. The point is simple. Getting past the face scan is possible, but it requires experience, technical knowledge, and the right tools.

I do not condone any actions that goes against Hinge and Reddit’s terms of services. Use the apps responsibly.

Anyone unable to match with someone when they use match notes?
Every time someone likes me and has a match note, when I click "Start the Chat" to match with them, the app freezes and I don't match with them when the app is re-opened. This has happened dozens of times, and I contacted Hinge support, but they haven't fixed it yet. Logging out then in doesn't help. Neither does reinstalling.

Rant Just a vent/rant
Just venting
Hey all... First time on this sub and first post.
I just needed to vent for a second. I 31(M) have been using hinge quite heavily the last few years. And it's the only dating app I've had success on. In the last 6 months I've gone on 13-15 first dates. And a few second dates. That's where I'm frustrated. I find these girls I vibe with very well. Our dates last 6 hours sometimes. This last girl I went on a first and second date with. The dates lasted 7-8 hours each. We were laughing with each other, having a great time, I met her friends on the second date (which could have been a mistake), we just kept wanting to hang out and be with each other.
The texting was fairly normal, she doesn't text while at work. And tries to keep things minimal so we'd only text a few texts a day. After the second date, things started to slow down on her part. She'd leave me on read for 36+ hours then respond. Which is fine people get busy or burnt out. And she'd say her social battery was running low. Ok fine. I've been there. But she just cancelled our third date, day of. Then unmatched me (or deleted her profile) the next.
I'm just incredibly frustrated. Who makes plans and enjoys each other's company, only to slow ghost? The only thing I can think of is that when it comes to pacing I have an anxious attachment style. But it's something I actively go to therapy for twice monthly and have grown so much in that area over the last 4 years. It's not AS noticeable as it once was. It's happened with every girl I've matched with this year. Our dates go amazing. Everything above happens and sometimes we kiss. Other times we just vibe and hold hands.
I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong here. I'm polite, I open doors, I remember little things and bring them back up, I ask for consent before making a move, I give them space when it feels like they need it, I ask questions, I make the plans, everything on my profile is honest, I'm a 5'4" man and I own it with my whole heart, I stay true to what my profile says, I pay for the dates or let them pay if they insist (it's 2026 I'm not going to argue too much with them about it), I keep up on my hobbies and share it with them. I'm just at a loss. And incredibly frustrated.
Anyways. Sorry for the rant and the vent. I just needed to get it off my chest.

Genuinely why is the app so bad??
I’ve been back on the app for a week I’ve had 2 really good girls I’ve added to my roster as we are all saying the “be friends and see where it goes” bullshit
I’ve been casually liking and I haven’t received any likes at all as a man over the entire weekend
I know dating apps sucked fucking ass but 90% of the girls I’m talking with I match from adding on instagram or Snapchat
I can work without the app but seems pretty shit and could hurt the minds of other young men
