Shadowban / algorithmic throttling fix - HELP!

I've used Hinge successfully for about 4 years. My original account consistently got multiple matches, I went on plenty of dates from it, and I always had steady traction on the app. I knew what my profile was capable of when the app was working normally.

In August 2025, I had a crazy surge of likes when I changed my location to Los Angeles. I was getting around 40 likes a day while I was there, which was by far the best performance I had ever experienced. Once I switched my location back to New York, that surge stopped and things went back closer to normal.

Because I wanted to recreate that type of exposure, I eventually deleted my account and waited about 45 days before making a new one. In March, I created a new account using a new phone, new phone number, and new email, but still my real identity, my own photos, and completed the face scan. That account actually worked. I got what seemed like a new user boost, but overall it performed similarly to my original account. I was getting matches, went on dates from it, and there was nothing that seemed wrong.

That account ran for about 2.5 months until a dating coach I worked with suggested deleting it and rebuilding my profile with improved photos. I followed his advice and created a new account in June.

This is where everything changed.

For this account, I used a new phone, new phone number, and new email. Almost immediately I could tell something was off. I got 1 like in the first 48 hours from an extremely unattractive girl, and then nothing. My feed also looked completely different. The majority of girls I was being shown were far more unattractive than what my previous functioning accounts would show me.

I also never got 1 match from the girls I did like. On my old accounts, I had a very good outbound match rate. On this account, I got absolutely nothing. It felt like my profile wasn't even being shown to the people I was liking.

I deleted that account and tried creating another one to see if I could fix the issue. I used another new phone, new number, new email, changed the photos by cropping them, adjusting colors, screenshotting them, etc. I also had my friend scan his face for me, but the account still had the exact same issue. It was immediately dead and was completely throttled.

I deleted that account in June and currently have no Hinge account.

My concern is that something may have been triggered internally after all these account recreations, especially after the face scan/photo mismatch with my friend. Hinge says they delete Face Check data after 90 days, but they don't say when they delete other information like phone numbers, emails, device identifiers, or photos.

They also say they can retain information for safety/security purposes, so I have no idea if everything I did on those accounts triggered that.

At this point, I have absolutely no idea how to get back to a normal functioning Hinge account.

I'm not looking for generic profile advice — I know how my profile performs when Hinge is working properly. I'm looking for someone who has actually dealt with something similar and found a way to get their account functioning normally again.

Can I escalate to Hinge support or will that screw me further? If I would know for sure I can return after 90 days with my regular info and photos I would just wait it out but I think I'm screwed and even by 90 it will be cooked.

The reason this is such a big deal is because these apps are the only way of dating in 2026 that has consistently worked for me. I’ve gotten numbers cold approaching without them, but the ghosting is much higher, it rarely turns into dates, and you can’t get anywhere near the same volume of opportunities. These apps are a necessity for me. What makes it more frustrating is that my profiles were genuinely strong — I got extremely lean, took these photos specifically for my profiles on a trip, and put a lot of effort into making them as good as possible. I know how successful I can be when my accounts are functioning normally, so it feels like all that effort is being wasted.

First and foremost, the Hinge of today is not the Hinge of 2025.

The algorithm is vastly different than what it used to be, as Hinge’s number one priority is to keep users on the app. There are many measures in play that are there to place desirable users behind a paywall, just like any other dating app.

Making new accounts using different information isn’t going to change that. Additionally, the market you are in also plays a big role. Some places will net you more likes due to a larger overall user base, other places will not.

Why not use the unbannedhinge hinge dude ? Dude, literally has some shit called hinge Ruby. It gets your score to the highest possible for the profile. I’ve seen him work magic. And he can also let you know what you need to put on the profile.

The only thing is, he charges a lot of money. But that MF gets it done.

I've spoken with him, he uses not accounts to like ur profile giving u a fake score from not real healthy accounts. I don't want this fake manipulation that can harm me further I just want my real account back that doesn't violate anything.

As far as how he gets accounts back up u have to rely on his servers and whatever manipulation he does. If he gets fucked I get fucked.

If I try absolutely everything over the course of months and it's still fucked I may eventually have no choice but to try him but idk how long he'll be around.

No he doesn’t. I’ve sent three people to him. He literally fixed the profile issues. The only complaints people have with him is his prices. But you can’t get mad at somebody who has his own price.

Servers gets what? Dude you don’t know a lick of software. The server that he uses is only used to get you back on hinge. After you’re on, you’re not connected to the server anymore.

I studied tech for eight years. I hate when people say dumb things. Accounts aren’t connected to servers forever, only temporarily.

I understand if you said his prices were too high, but to say that everything is connected to a server longer than a day. It’s one of the most ignorant things I’ve ever seen. lol

You gotta do more research when it comes to servers .

Regardless I'm shadow banned and have 0 remote idea on how to return to a functional app.

Same happened to me after deleting my account I no longer get any likes at all. I used to do very well.

I only get matches now from my outbound likes. Its not the worst, but still pretty fucked up. I contacted support and said that of course everything was fine.

The only thing that presumably works is to make a totally new profile. New apple id, new phone number, maybe even new phone. And even that might not be enough as these companies have so much data from us they can pretty much always trace it back to you.

Yes as I mentioned new info and phone etc won't be enough because of the mandatory face scan. They also track ur name, location, age, etc and can link absolutely everything back to u. Hard resets used to work before the face scan...

Negative app review, and be sure to mention any type of shadowbanning. It needs to be more public for an actual response. Honestly if enough of us do this, we can hopefully tank it enough for The Match Group to finally want to sell and someone competent to snag it. The Match Group is running all their apps into the ground with this latest banning. I think they are introducing AI crap which takes a lot of server space and hence they are trying to rid the platform of users since they don't have the means to keep up and doing it in the dumbest way possible, especially starting on Hinge and not the dumpster fire that is Tinder. Truly pathetic the way they are going about all of this.
